Frederiks on Hope Street

What makes this the Georgian Quarters
favourite Neighbourhood Bar & Kitchen?

Fortunately in Liverpool, you won’t struggle to find great places to eat and drink, but what if you wanted both at the same time – as you do of course. Well that’s when things become a little tricky, if it’s great cocktails you seek then eat before coming out, if it’s delicious food then prepare for the same old basic drinks menu. But you want both, we get it… so where??

Thankfully, there is such a place, and what a place – Frederiks.

In one of the most beautiful parts of the city centre, Frederiks lies half way down Hope Street in subtle yet stylish surroundings. Once inside it’s the perfect blend of comfort and class. One of its standout features inside has to be the magnificent fireplace, neatly surrounded by huge L-shaped sofas that make it almost impossible to get up and leave. This is without question one of the comfiest places in the city to kick back, relax and enjoy some top quality beverages. The award winning ‘Four Miles In Stilettos’ is our cocktail of choice, which is made up of Liverpool Gin, Kwai Feh Lychee Liqueur, rose syrup, cherry & lemon bitters with fresh lemon & whites.

So we’ve established that Frederiks hits the spot if you’re looking for quality drinks with a great atmosphere… but what about the other half of the story, the food…

Well we can safely say that the food mirrors the drinks and atmosphere – brilliant. The portions are just enough to leave you with that satisfied feeling after eating, not too full, and certainly not wanting for more. The good news doesn’t stop there because these guys serve a Sunday lunch that rivals any mothers home cooking! Fredericks covers all requirements too with the usual suspects chicken, beef and pork on show, but also a very appealing vegetarian option along with pan roasted seabass –our favorite.

Frederiks really is an amazing all in one, and that includes the cost. You leave feeling satisfied on every front and we totally agree with it being known as the Georgian Quarters favorite neighborhood bar and kitchen.
