Excitement Soars as Devon County Show Gears Up for Massive Attendance!
Get ready for an unforgettable experience at the Devon County Show, where over 95,000 visitors are expected over three action-packed days! The 129th installment of this beloved event will take place from Thursday to Saturday at Westpoint Arena, Exeter.
With over 600 trade stands, the show promises diverse attractions for everyone. Special guests will include renowned actor Martin Clunes, famous presenter Kirstie Allsopp, and Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper. Clunes, known for his role in Doc Martin, will kick off the festivities on Thursday at 10:00 BST, officially opening the Festival of Heavy Horses. According to festival organizer Diana McFeat, Clunes is the perfect choice for this role.
On Friday, Kaleb Cooper will be on-site from 13:00 to 16:00, where he’ll immerse himself in the Farming Zone, judge a Young Farmers’ Class, and engage in a Q&A session at the Young Farmers’ Marquee.
The excitement continues on Saturday with Kirstie Allsopp showcasing her skills at the crafts and flowers pavilion, a large marquee that is a hub for floral arts, baking competitions, and craft exhibits. Also attending will be Phil Vickery, the former rugby star, who will be present at the Raging Bull stand, drawing in crowds with his local connections from Barnstaple and Cornwall.
Each year, the Devon County Show chooses a worthy charity, and for the 2025 event, the honor will go to Pete’s Dragons. Founded by Alison Jordan, this charity focuses on providing support for those affected by suicide.
