**Reform UK Holds Strong: By-Election Success Amid Controversy!**

In a significant by-election, Reform UK has successfully retained a local council seat in the Lloyds and Corby Village ward of North Northamptonshire Council. This election followed the resignation of Robert Bloom, a councillor who stepped down after allegations surfaced regarding his use of racial slurs against neighbors. The by-election was held to fill the vacancy, and Lee Duffy emerged victorious with 754 votes—a commanding 38% of the total votes cast.

The election results revealed the following standings: Labour Party secured second place with 635 votes (32%), followed by the Green Party at third with 371 votes (19%). The Liberal Democrats and Conservative Party finished fourth and fifth, respectively, receiving 113 votes (6%) and 86 votes (4%).

Despite a modest turnout of just 22.8%, Reform UK maintains its commanding presence with a total of 40 councillors on the council, far surpassing the Conservatives (13), Greens (8), Labour (4), and the Liberal Democrats (1), alongside two Independents.

Martin Griffiths, the council leader of Reform UK, praised Duffy for his extensive experience as a community champion in Corby, and expressed commitment to enhancing the council’s mission to prioritize families and communities in its new corporate plan. This victory not only reinforces Reform UK’s position within the council but also underscores their focus on community engagement and governance transformation.
